Works where you already write
You never leave the page. The fix shows up right where you were typing.
A sentence, a paragraph or the whole message.
Choose Fix Grammar with AI, or press CtrlShiftE, ⌘⇧E on Mac.
A small pill shows while it works. Then the corrected text lands in place.
I built MrGrammar because every AI tool I tried kept rewriting me. I would paste a sentence into ChatGPT, Gemini or Claude to fix a typo and get back something polished, formal and not mine.
All I wanted was the typo fixed.
So I made a tool that does only that. It corrects spelling, grammar and punctuation and leaves your words, your tone and your sentence structure exactly as you wrote them. If it sounded like you before, it sounds like you after.
hey can u send me the file when u get a sec, no rush tho
Hello, could you please send me the file at your earliest convenience? There is no rush.
Polite. Formal. Not you.Hey, can you send me the file when you get a sec? No rush though.
Same message. Just fixed.Install it and start fixing right away. The free service covers 10 corrections a minute and 500 a day, which is plenty for a day of email and chat.
Corrections come back fast enough that you stay in flow. Select, fix, keep writing.
Text leaves your browser only when you ask for a correction, and it is never stored. No accounts, no cookies, no tracking of who you are.
Read the privacy policyReady the moment Gmail, Outlook, Slack, LinkedIn, Facebook or Messenger loads. On every other site it only touches the page when you call it.
One shortcut, no menu needed. Change it any time from the extension settings.

Saleep24/MrGrammarI didn't know I needed this before I used this. Now I cannot imagine writing without this. If there was 6 stars possible, this would definitely get it.
Aditya SharmaChrome Web Store reviewWow! This extension helped me edit my emails and make my sentences smoother. It's pretty easy to install and set up a shortcut to make editing even faster in Gmail and Slack.
Brenda GarciaChrome Web Store reviewIt's fast. It's clean. It's ridiculously smart. The suggestions are natural and non-intrusive, and it doesn't mess with your tone or overcorrect like some other tools do. If you write anything, emails, essays, social posts, install this.
AbiralChrome Web Store reviewChanged my life! I cannot even imagine my life without this tool now.
Mandip AdhikariChrome Web Store reviewYes, while MrGrammar is in early access. There is no plan to upgrade to and no key to bring. The free service allows 10 corrections a minute and 500 a day per person, which is plenty for a day of email and chat. If that ever changes, early users will hear about it first.
It fixes spelling, grammar and punctuation. It does not rewrite your sentences, swap your words or change your tone.
Gmail, Outlook on the web, Slack, LinkedIn messages and comments, Facebook and Messenger are supported out of the box, plus most websites with ordinary text boxes, comment fields or editors. It runs in Chrome, Edge, Brave and other Chromium browsers.
It only corrects. Most AI writing tools rewrite your sentence, change the tone or suggest a different word. MrGrammar fixes the spelling, grammar and punctuation and leaves everything else as you wrote it. It is also free, needs no account, and puts the fix straight into the text box you are typing in.
Yes. Corrections come from Google Gemini, with Groq as a backup, through a small server the project runs. The extension holds no keys and you do not need your own.
Not yet. Docs draws its text on a canvas rather than as regular page text, so there is nothing for the extension to read. You will see a short message if you try.
Nothing leaves your browser until you ask for a correction. At that moment the selected text goes over an encrypted connection to a small server, which asks Google Gemini for the correction, with Groq as a backup. Your text is never stored or logged. The server only keeps a request count per network address for up to 24 hours to enforce the free limit, and that count is never linked to any text. Full privacy policy.
